It uses a metal belt to facilitate head movement and locks the disk with a lever. Head loading is done with a solenoid. It uses the [[#geb-2294v-0|GEB-2294V-0 ]] control board and the Sankyo F2SPR motor board. ===== Variants ===== ==== DFC642B01B ==== === Pictures === | {{:5_25_floppy_drives:alps_dfc642b:back.jpg?200 |}} | {{:5_25_floppy_drives:alps_dfc642b:top.jpg?200 |}} | {{:5_25_floppy_drives:alps_dfc642b:bottom.jpg?200 |}} | | {{:5_25_floppy_drives:alps_dfc642b:front.jpg?200 |}} | ::: | ::: | ===== Jumper settings ===== ==== GEB-2294V-0 ==== {{ :5_25_floppy_drives:alps_dfc642b:geb-2294v-0.pdf |}} ++++View PDF| {{pdfjs 100%,800px>:5_25_floppy_drives:alps_dfc642b:geb-2294v-0.pdf?page-width}} ++++ ===== Modifications ===== ==== 84 track seeking ==== Unmodified drives will not be able to seek 84 tracks. A small modification is required to enable this. {{:5_25_floppy_drives:alps_dfc642b:mod_84tracks_1.jpg?200|}} {{:5_25_floppy_drives:alps_dfc642b:mod_84tracks_2.jpg?200|}} The modification can be performed by following these steps: - Loosen the two screws holding the end stop of the stepper motor as pictured. - Move the end stop all the the way up, away from the axle. - Tighten the screws while retaining the end stop in the upper position.
