Digital Systems/J.P.N./Safronic DS-53A
The DS-53A is a 5.25“ double sided high density floppy drive made by Digital Systems, J.P.N. and Safronic. It uses a metal belt to facilitate head movement and locks the disk with a lever. Head loading is done with via mechanical linkage.
It uses the MDK34V-0 control board and the Kumagaya SMK355 motor board.
