Alps DFC642B
The DFC642B is a 5.25“ double sided high density floppy drive made by Alps. It uses a metal belt to facilitate head movement and locks the disk with a lever. Head loading is done with a solenoid. It uses the GEB-2294V-0 control board and the Sankyo F2SPR motor board.

Modifications
84 track seeking
Unmodified drives will not be able to seek 84 tracks. A small modification is required to enable this.
The modification can be performed by following these steps:
- Loosen the two screws holding the end stop of the stepper motor as pictured.
- Move the end stop all the the way up, away from the axle.
- Tighten the screws while retaining the end stop in the upper position.
